Human-centric IAM is failing: Agentic AI requires a new
identity control plane

The fundamental problem is that traditional identity and access management (IAM) designed for humans breaks at agentic scale. Controls like static roles, long-lived passwords and one-time approvals are useless when non-human identities can outnumber human ones by 10 to one. To harness the power of agentic AI, identity must evolve from a simple login gatekeeper into the dynamic control plane for your entire AI operation.

Baidu unveils proprietary ERNIE 5 beating GPT-5 performance on charts, document understanding and more

Announced at the company's Baidu World 2025 event, ERNIE 5.0 is a proprietary, natively omni-modal model designed to jointly process and generate content across text, images, audio, and video.

Unlike Baidu’s recently released ERNIE-4.5-VL-28B-A3B-Thinking, which is open source under an enterprise-friendly and permissive Apache 2.0 license, ERNIE 5.0 is a proprietary model and is available only via Baidu’s ERNIE Bot website.

Weibo's new open source AI model VibeThinker-1.5B outperforms DeepSeek-R1 on $7,800 post-training budget

Chinese social networking company Weibo's AI division recently released its open source VibeThinker-1.5B—a 1.5 billion parameter large language model (LLM) that is a fine-tuned variant of rival Chinese tech firm Alibaba's Qwen2.5-Math-1.5B.

Despite its compact size, VibeThinker-1.5B achieves benchmark-topping reasoning performance on math and code tasks, rivaling or surpassing models hundreds of times its size, even outperforming Chinese rival DeepSeek's famed R1 that went viral at the start of this year—a 671-billion parameter model—on formal reasoning benchmark.

Anthropic's New MCP Blog Post is Huge

Anthropic just dropped a blog post that could finally fix MCP's biggest problem — the context window.

Instead of loading all your tools upfront and burning through tokens, the new code execution approach lets Claude interact with MCP servers as code APIs. This means tools load on-demand, data filters in the sandbox before reaching the model, and token usage drops from 150K to 2K.
